I got this recipe from my mom who always keeps almost rotten bananas in her fridge :)))) (don't tell her I said this). She buys 2 kilos of bananas and she's the only one who eats them, so normally they'll rotten eventually. So, she basically needed a way to use her blackened bananas and convert them from one food to another. This is it, the result of conversion, you'll love it!

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 baking powder (10 g)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a little ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 4 mature bananas crushed
  • 100 g chopped chocolate
  • 100 g crushed walnuts
***1 cup is 250 ml measurement cup

  1. Using a mixer, mix eggs and sugar.
  2. Then, gradually add the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Add crushed bananas, chocolate and walnuts in the end and mix until you get a fine smooth mixture.
  4. Place mixture in an oiled mold or a pan and put to bake at 180 C degrees for about 40 minutes. Check with a toothpick if your cake is ready.
  5. After cooling, you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top or decorate as desired.
