STRUDEL WITH BANANA AND NUTELLA (puff pastry)

Wonderful and quick dessert with ready puff pastry. I don't use puff pastry very often, but when I do, I say to myself, why I don't use it more often. I had the idea for this strudel a long time ago, only I realized it today. The strudel is so good you'll literally lick your fingers. I know I did :). You can also use filling of your choice. I've tried something similar with jam and vanilla pudding, it was also amazing.

Ingredients:

  • 1 puff pastry
  • 2 bananas
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa cream of your choice
  • 1 egg yolk
  • chopped hazelnuts

Preparation:

  1. Spread the puff pastry into a rectangular shape and divide it into two parts.
  2. Put cream on the middle part, sprinkle hazelnuts and put 1 chopped banana.

  3. Cut the dough as in the pictures and fold it.

  4. First fold the top and the bottom, then the sides, one stripe from the left, one from the right until you fold them all.

  5. Coat the resulting strudels with egg yolk and sprinkle with crushed hazelnuts.

  6. Bake at maximum temperature for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. Allow to cool slightly after baking as you may get burned from the hot cream.
