This is an amazing recipe for simple and beautiful homemade pie crust. Preparation time is about 10 minutes and this crust is ideal for fruit pies !! The crust turns out crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the inside, just perfect.


  • 180 g flour
  • 20 g cornstarch
  • 100 g softened unsalted butter
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 tbs sunflower oil
  • 2 tbs milk
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 1 egg yolk


  1. In a mixing bowl blend in the oil, with milk and sugar.
  2. Add the butter and one egg yolk. Beat until the ingredients are well combined.
  3. After that, add the flour and knead a soft dough.
  4. Once the dough is ready, make a ball and wrap it in a foil. Put in the fridge for 1 hour.
  5. After that, your dough is ready to use.
Note: this recipe is only for the bottom part. If you want your pie covered with dough stripes, add half more of the ingredients.
