Ingredients:
- 1 kg of flour
- 250 ml of lukewarm milk
- 1 fresh yeast 40 g
- 150 ml of oil
- 50 g of sugar
- 2 tbs honey
- 1 vanilla sugar 10 g
- 2 eggs
- about 100 ml of water, depends on the softness of the flour
- cinnamon if desired
- 1 egg for coating
Preparation:
- First activate the yeast in the milk, sugar and 1 tbs of flour.
- Then, add the flour, the oil, honey and the eggs. Start to knead and add water little by little. Knead until you get a fine soft unsticky dough.
- Leave the dough to rest and to rise.
- When it has risen, it means that the dough is ready for work. Divide it into two parts for easier handling. Stretch a crust with thickness of 5-6 mm and cut out foot shapes with a special mold If you don't have a mold, you can improvise and make your own mold using a thin metal or shape the foots with bare hands - use your imagination!
Mold - Align cookies on a greased baking tray and coat each with egg yolk. Decorate as desired and bake at 200 C degrees until they got beautiful golden color.
