Every year the Virgin fasting begins on August 14th and lasts until August 28th (Dormition of the Virgin Mary). By its length, it is the shortest of the four annual fasts and lasts for 15 days.
This post is established in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the endowment of the Holy Mother of God and fasting on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is without oil, on Saturday and Sunday fasting is with oil, and on the feast of Transfiguration on 19th of August you can eat fish.

Before the fast begins until the Feast of the Transfiguration, grapes and figs are not eaten. Grapes and figs are allowed after the feast of the Transfiguration, when the fruit is blessed.
