Avocados are very popular in Macedonia in the last several years, of course they are imported and can't grow here and that is why they are pretty expensive for our standard. But the fact that avocados are very healthy fruit, it is suggested to include them in your diet at least once a week.  

Guacamole is perhaps the greatest culinary masterpiece of Mexican cuisine. It is a spread of mashed avocado, to which lemon and finely chopped tomatoes, garlic and peppers are often added. Due to the high amount of omega 3 fatty acids, B vitamins, as well as vitamins E and K, guacamole is really healthy, but also tasty. I've made some changes to the basic recipe and adapted it to my taste. I removed the tomato and instead, put it aside.
The given amount is for1-2 persons, it was enough for me and my son.


  • 1 ripe middle sized avocado
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbs olive oil

For topping:

  • roasted sesame seeds
  • grated parmesan cheese


  1. Mash the avocado with a fork, then add the lemon juice, oil, chopped garlic, salt and pepper. You can also use a hand blender for obtaining better structure.
  2. When all ingredients are well combined, that's it, your guacamole spread is ready to use.
  3. Spread on toasted slices of bread and top with roasted sesame seeds which gives an incredible taste and optionally, grated parmesan cheese.
  4. Add tomatoes and olives aside and enjoy your healthy meal.
