I got this recipe from my godmother a few days ago, I tried it on Sunday and delighted me, and since my husband loves chocolate desserts, I immediately prepared it with a little modification of the ingredients. The preparation is simple, the cake is ideal for quick dessert preparation, a delicious one! The amount of sugar is not high, that's what I like the most.
  • 3 cups of liquid yogurt
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
Chocolate syrup
  • 1 and a half cup of milk
  • 70 g butter
  • 1 chocolate for cooking (dark)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • chocolate whipped cream
*Cup size is 200 ml

  1. Mix well all ingredients for the sponge cake with a spoon. Obtain a non lump mixture. 
  2. Pour the mixture into a square or rectangular baking pan, I used the Delimano Copperlux  pan 27 by 27 cm.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes at 200 C degrees.
  4. After baking, cool and cut into cubes after cooling completely.
  5. Prepare the syrup: Melt the butter and add crushed chocolate, after the chocolate has melted, mix nicely and add the milk, sugar and cocoa and heat until the ingredients are well blended.
  6. Allow to cool slightly and while it's still warm, pour over the biscuit.
  7. Finally decorate the cake as you desired.
