This dish can be served as a side dish or as warm appetizer before lunch. It is a very tasty bread with melted cheese on top, garlic and spices.

Ingredients (for 4 persons):

  • ¼ cup grated cheese
  • ¼ cup garlic and white cheese with spices
  • ½ cup mozzarella, crushed
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • slices of bread of your choice
  1. Preheat oven to 220 ℃. Put aluminum foil on a baking pan. Mix all ingredients (except bread) in a bowl (this mixture can be prepared a few hours earlier and kept in the fridge). 
  2. Place bread slices on the foil. Bake for 5 minutes. Then, apply the cheese mixture, return pan in the oven and bake another 5 minutes. 
  3. Turn off the oven and leave bread slices inside another 2-3 minutes to allow all the cheese to melt. However, be careful because they can burn easily.
  4. Allow 2-3 minutes to cool and serve warm.
Tip: if you can't find cheese with spices, use regular white cheese and add spices as desired.
